Patrick Janssen is a Los Angeles based sound editor, re-recording mixer, and engineer. His experience in sound spans every corner of the entertainment industry. From award-winning feature films to Cirque du Soleil, and from television cartoons to theme parks.
Educated at California Institute of the Arts (MFA) and Emporia State University (BFA) in Kansas, this midwestern boy has had his work played all over the world. A strange fact for a person that didn't even see a mountain or ocean until he was 16. His television projects have broadcast on networks including HBO, IFC, Cartoon Network, and PBS. His film projects have played in theaters and festivals all over, including Sundance, SXSW, AFI, Hot Docs Toronto, True/False, and many more. His sound design work for theme parks can be seen (or is it heard? I guess it'd be "heard"...) at parks including Universal Studios Orlando, WB The Making of Harry Potter, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi (yes that really does exist), San Diego Zoo, Warner Bros. Fun Zone Macau (also exists), and some other parks that are super top secret and I'd have to kill you if I told you about them.
When not sitting in a dark studio by himself, you can hopefully not find Patrick in the woods somewhere, because that would defeat the purpose of him being in the woods.
